Athena’s Warriors, 4-H FIRST Robotics Team #3182, is a non-profit community robotics club based in Greater Hartford region of Connecticut. Founded in 2010 and supported by Hartford County UConn 4-H, we welcome high school students from across the state to explore mechanical design, programming, and business management. For younger students, we mentor a FIRST LEGO League team each fall to excite them about STEM futures.
Beyond our workshop (located in downtown Hartford), we participate in community outreach initiatives all year long through collaborations with MakerspaceCT, the CT Science Center, and our local sponsors. Our commitment to creativity, engineering and owl puns has earned us numerous accolades over the years, including ten lifetime Imagery Awards and the prestigious FIRST Impact Award in 2025.
Athena's Warriors 3182
Discover FIRST Robotics Competition, a youth robotics program where students learn workforce skills alongside mentors as they build robots & play a game. Athena's Warriors is an award-winning FRC team and 4-H club focused on spreading love for STEM education throughout Hartford County, Connecticut.
FRC teams have 8 weeks to design and build a robot to play the seasonal game. 3182 students use CAD, CNC, 3-D printing and other tools to get to a final product.

Hephaestus' Helpers 60303
FIRST LEGO League introduces STEM through fun, exciting hands-on learning. Participants problem solve through a guided, global robotics program using LEGO technology. Our high-school students mentor the younger students. 8th graders that complete our FLL program may join FRC early.
FLL teams use LEGO SPIKE Prime kits to build a robot to complete table top missions, and work on an innovation project that connects the theme to the real world.

Share your Knowledge: Mentor!
As a FIRST team mentor, you help students build confidence, solve real-world problems, and thrive through hands-on STEM projects. Athena's Warriors has 8–10 mentors each year and Hephaestus; Helpers as 2–3.
Students learn from mentors who have all types of professional skills, and mentors have a ton of fun with these projects!

Commitment: 4 hours per week (FLL), 6–15 hours per week (FRC)
Timing: 3.5 months (FLL), 9–10 months (FRC)

Athena's Warriors is funded by team membership fees, sponsor funding and in-kind donations. Our participation in various competitions across the country is dependent on the amount of funding we receive every year. We thank our generous sponsors and donors for all they provide!
